When Hadouk began, it was a
duo for their first release. The addition of a drummer / percussionist
made the Hadouk Trio a very adventurous ensemble, always exploring
new instruments and sounds on their albums and concerts. At
no time in their history did it ever seem like they needed any extra
sounds, but now the original duo of Loy Ehrlich and Didier Malherbe
have re-emerged with Hadouk Quartet. The most noticeable change
is the addition of guitar and banjo, both by Eric Lohrer, with whom
Didier had recorded a double CD. The percussion and drumming
is now handled by Jean-Luc Di Fraya, who is also the angelic vocalist.
